Feat. Special Guests Alison Krauss, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Rodney Crowell, The Milk Carton Kids, Declan O'Rourke, and Karen Matheson

Artist Information

Transatlantic Sessions brings together the best of Nashville, Ireland and Scotland in a format that affords, in the words of one critic, “a unique insight into the sheer joy of making music”. Dobro master Jerry Douglas and celebrated Shetland fiddler Aly Bain lead an all-star band from the US and UK, including Phil Cunningham, Donald Shaw, Danny Thompson, Mike McGoldrick, John McCusker, James MacKintosh, Russ Barenberg, and John Doyle, and featuring special guest stars Rosanne Cash, Sarah Jarosz, John Paul White, Aoife O’Donovan, Declan O’Rourke, Karen Matheson, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Having originated as an award-winning BBC television series (going on its 7th season), the Transatlantic Sessions tour has become a treasured annual event in the UK that brings together master musicians to celebrate the music from their unique and shared musical traditions. This tour marks the first multi-city tour in the US and begins a new chapter in the continuing evolution of the Transatlantic Sessions, bringing it to US audiences for a special evening of music!
