Coming off a packed house at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY, Dead On Live will return to with another classic Grateful Dead album recreation, cover to cover, note for note….and more. The band will perform the iconic live double album “ Europe ‘72 ” at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA March 1, 2019.
This is the iconic album that fused the 60’s psychedelic jam era with 1970’s eclectic electric folk-rock releases Workingman’s Dead/American Beauty and helped define the touring machine the Dead were to be for the next 20 years. Classic live versions of Cumberland Blues, Sugar Magnolia, Truckin’ as well as new unreleased GD staples like Tennessee Jed, Ramble On Rose and Jack Straw will be performed in DOL’s unique note for note format, as never performed live before. You’ll hear Phil’s rootless syncopations, the rhythmic fire of Kreutzmann, Bobby and Keith’s creative comping, and the touch and tone of Jerry Garcia. Of course, remaining true to their heart and soul, DOL always includes plenty of good old Grateful jamming to get the kids up dancing and shaking their bones!
