After 60 years of performing live concerts worldwide the Wolfe Tones are saying Farewell to all of their loyal fans with shows scheduled in major US and Canadian cities in March 2024. The Wolfe Tones last performed in St. Johns in 2013 and we are delighted to have the opportunity of saying our last farewell to all of our Canadian supporters and fans. From their humble beginnings when the band was formed in Dublin in 1963 the group has performed their style of Irish Music (some have called them a Rebel Band) at major venues worldwide. Some notable venues include: Carnegie Hall, New York, Royal Albert Hall, London, The Olympia in Paris, The Sydney Opera House, Sydney, The Barrowlands, Glasgow, Feile an Phobail Festival, Belfast, Siamsa Coislaoi Festival, Cork, National Stadium, The 3 Arena, CityWest Convention Center and Olympia Theatre and in Dublin. Also of note are some of the most iconic theatres in America: Town Hall, Broadway, NY, Athenaeum Theatre, Chicago, Strand Theatre, Boston, The Fillmore, Philadelphia. The Wolfe Tones hold many records for sell out crowds at their venues! The Wolfe Tones have produced over 40 albums and have reached the top of the charts in both England and Ireland with their hit singles. Brian Warfield is responsible for writing most of the songs that the band perform i.e.: Joe McDonnell, Helicopter Song, Irish Eyes, Teddy Bears Head, and the greatest Irish song of all time Celtic Symphony.
